Our book celebrating Ray's work - The Raymond P Cusick Signature Collection - should still be published, but we are, out of courtesy, checking with Ray's family on that to ensure that there are no unforseeen issues in this regard. Ray had also completed the signature plates for the book, so we will be able to offer the limited hardback as a special signed edition as planned, again subject to the family being OK with this.

Wiped! Doctor Who's Missing Episodes: Second Edition

In the 1960s, the BBC screened 253 episodes of its cult science fiction show Doctor Who, starring William Hartnell and then Patrick Troughton as the time travelling Doctor. Yet by 1975, the Corporation had wiped the master tapes of every single one of these episodes. Yet by 1975, the Corporation had wiped the master tapes of every single one of these episodes. Of the 124 Doctor Who episodes starring Jon Pertwee shown between 1970 and 1974, the BBC destroyed over half of the original transmission tapes within two years of their original broadcast.

In the years that followed, the BBC, along with dedicated fans of the series, began the arduous task of trying to track down copies of as many missing Doctor Who episodes as possible. The search covered BBC sales vaults, foreign television stations, overseas archives, and numerous networks of private film collectors, until the tally of missing programmes was reduced to just 106 episodes.

For the first time, this book looks in detail at how the episodes came to be missing in the first place, and examines how material subsequently came to be returned to the BBC. Along the way, those people involved in the recovery of lost slices of Doctor Who's past tell their stories in candid detail, many for the very first time. This second edition updates the story with details of the recent episode discoveries from 'Galaxy 4' and 'The Underwater Menace' as well as general updates, corrections and revisions throughout.

After much consideration and planning, we are delighted to announce the launch of Telos Moonrise, a new digital and POD imprint for Telos, which we hope will expand to cover a wider variety of fiction than we are currently able to undertake in the more traditional publishing lines. Titles are planned to be made available in ebook formats for Kindle, Kobo and Nook, and for those who still love books, all the titles will also be available as print on demand paperbacks via Amazon.

Consultant and editor for the imprint is Sam Stone, herself an acclaimed and award-winning author, and she will be commissioning and looking for titles in all four of the initial lines which are planned:

THE RAYMOND P CUSICK SIGNATURE COLLECTION: The same format as our celebration of the Doctor Who design work of Barry Newbery, this title features an extensive selection of Doctor Who photographs from BBC designer Raymond P Cusick's extensive collection. DOCTOR WHO FILMS (title TBC) by Charles Norton: A detailed analysis and background to all the attempts to make a cinematic version of Doctor Who.
