CONTENTS PAGE PROBLEM WITH TALKBACK 1
Sharp eyed readers will have spotted that all the copies of TALKBACK 1: THE SIXTIES have a problem with the contents page - there are no page numbers present. This slipped past all the people who check the books prior to printing, and so unfortunately for this first edition, there's nothing we can do. The problem will be corrected on any subsequent editions though. In the meantime, we have been slipping a replacement page into all the copies we despatch centrally, but if you are missing that, then please email me at david@telos.co.uk and I'll email you back a PDF of the corrected page. Apologies to all for the mistake - we are only human. Posted by David @ 10:05 am » Saturday, August 19, 2006
BOOK ARRIVALS
We have just taken delivery of the finished hardback editions of TALKBACK 1 - and very nice it looks too. Copies are being despatched to the pre-orders and subscribers and we'll be sorting the copies to the dealers and shops over the next week. We have also received some early copies of the hardback of TIME HUNTER: THE SIDEWAYS DOOR. Again, the copies for pre-orders and subscribers are beind despatched. We expect to receive the bulk of these copies in about a month's time which is when retail orders will be sent out. The main stocks of the new Mike Ripley crime paperbacks: JUST ANOTHER ANGEL, ANGEL HUNT and ANGEL TOUCH should be arriving in about a week, along with the paperbacks of THE SIDEWAYS DOOR and A MANHATTAN GHOST STORY. Retail orders will be sent as soon as we get the books in. Posted by David @ 4:44 pm » Sunday, August 06, 2006
WORLD FANTASY AWARDS 2006
We have just heard that on the shortlist for the 2006 World Fantasy Award there are two reasons for Telos to be celebrating. First of all, Simon Morden's stunning novella Another War has been shortlisted in the BEST NOVELLA category. The others in this category are: Laird Barron for "The Imago Sequence", Michael Cunningham for "In the Machine", Joe Hill for Voluntary Committal, Tanith Lee for "UOUS" and Kelly Link for "Magic for Beginners". Secondly, and much to our surprise and delight, Telos Publishing is in the shortlist for the SPECIAL AWARD, NON-PROFESSIONAL category. Also up for this Award are: The Friends of Arthur Machen (for Faunus, Machenalia, and The Life of Arthur Machen), Leo Grin (for The Cimmerian), Jess Nevins (for The Encyclopedia of Fantastic Victoriana, from MonkeyBrain Books) and Rodger Turner, Neil Walsh, and Wayne MacLaurin (for SF Site). The Awards are announced in Austin, Texas during the World Fantasy Convention from 2 to 5 November 2006, and we wish all the shortlisted nominees the very best of luck. For more information on the World Fantasy Convention visit http://www.fact.org/wfc2006/ and the full list of nominees for the 2006 Awards can be found here http://www.worldfantasy.org/awards/.
